Starfish

The common starfish is the one we most often come across on the rocky shore. It can measure up to 50 centimetres from arm-tip to arm-tip. A related species which is also quite common along the Jæren coast is the northern henricia or “Bloody Henry” starfish, which has sausage-shaped arms.
