Sea rocket

Sea rocket is often found on the driest, uppermost parts of the beach. The plant is covered with a thin layer of wax that prevents evaporation, and the succulent leaves store water during the dry weeks of summer. It has pink-violet flowers with a honey-like perfume. Photo: Erik Thoring
