Quartz-diorite, granodiorite and granite
Quartz-diorite, granodiorite and granite can be found as lenses, veins and “bodies” embedded in the mica-rich gneiss rocks. These are even more intensely metamorphosed than the formations around them. They contain the black mica biotite, and in some places you can find astrophyllite and hornblende as well. Granodiorite appears as lighter layers within the surrounding gneiss. Tananger.
