Breadcrumb sponges 

It is common to find breadcrumb sponges clinging to stranded seaweed. They look a bit like risen bread dough. Like all sponges, they are made up of colonies of microscopic creatures that excrete the dough-like mass. The colonies often attach themselves to kelp stalks.
